Don't Leave Me (Alone in the Rain)

Don't Leave Me (Alone in the Rain)! is a flattering, slightly crescent shaped shawl.
The pattern is inspired by leaves with water drops. You can sprinkle sparkling beads over your leaves as you please, you can place them symmetrically as suggested in the charts, or you can leave them out.
You start knitting the shawl from the outer edge in lace. The crescent shape is created in the upper part of the shawl by short rows with decreases.
The shawl comes in two versions: a larger one in lace weight and a slightly smaller one in 4ply / fingering weight. There are two charts with different suggestions for placing the beads.
Instructions for the lace are given in chart only.
Techniques used
- Decreases: k2tog, ssk, p2tog, centered double decrease
- Increase: yarn over
- Placing beads (optional)
- Short rows
The double decreases, placing beads, and the short rows are explained in the pattern.
