Circumference at lower edge: 40 cm / 38"

Yarn requirements

2 balls Adriafil Malizia (49% wool, 49% acryl, 2% lamé 50 m / 55 yd per 50 g) in colour 085

70 m / 77 yd used

Notions

7 mm / US 10.75 and 8 mm / US 11 dpn or circular needles if you prefer magic loop for knitting in the round

Darning needle

Gauge

11 sts / 14 rows per 10 cm / 4 inches in stocking stitch with larger needle

Pattern

CO 48 sts using tubular cast on (or other stretchy cast on method) with 7 mm / US 10.75 needle.

Join to work in the round - be careful not to twist.

Work in rib: [k1, p1]
until piece measures 6 cm / 2.5 inches.

Change to 8 mm / US 11 needle.
Work in stocking stitch: [k]
Girly Turquoise Hat until piece measures 23 cm / 9 inches from cast on edge.

Decrease rounds for shaping the top:
Round1 : [k4, k2tog] rep to end of round. 40 sts.
Round 2: [k3, k2tog] rep to end of round. 32 sts.
Round 3: [k2, k2tog] rep to end of round. 24 sts.
Round 4: [k1, k2tog] rep to end of round. 16 sts.
Round 5: k2tog to end of round. 8 sts.

Break yarn. Draw yarn end through the rem sts and tighten.
Fasten all ends.
